Stepping into the property, take a seat at the church pew to kick off your shoes before entering the open-plan living space. Decorated with Italian leather sofas and finished with reclaimed Victorian pine doors, hardwood floors, and stained glass, the space is sure to be the social hub throughout your stay. Our holiday home is everything you would want for a relaxing break in the country.
Whip up meals for your group to enjoy at the dining table using the quality kitchen appliances, before settling down on the sofas to watch the Smart TV. Completing the ground floor is a handy cloakroom with a basin and WC, with a washing machine nearby to freshen up your clothes. When sleep calls, make your way upstairs to rest in one of two well-appointed bedrooms. Choose from a king-size sleigh bed or a twin room, each of which have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside where you can watch horses, ponies and a flock of Cheviot sheep as they graze along the hills. Finishing off the first floor is a spacious family bathroom, home to a bath and a walk-in shower, giving you the option of a quick rinse or indulgent soak after a day out. Back on the ground floor, step out onto the spacious patio to enjoy your morning coffee while soaking up the fresh countryside air.
Fitted out with all kitchen mod cons including an integrated dishwasher, electric over, microwave and induction hob, you’ll feel just at home. The latest Nest monitored smoke/carbon monoxide detectors are fitted throughout along with an easy control Nest heating thermostat. In the evening, enjoy the widescreen tv with free wifi and complimentary Netflix, ITV, Channel 4 and BBC iplayer. Self contained and private, the property enjoys parking for up to 4 cars. The large outdoor patio overlooks the fields so you can relax in the evening and soak in countryside life.

With direct access to country walk along the historic derbyshire trails, you can walk, fish, horse ride and cycle for miles with picnic spots along the way. If you fancy a spot of fishing on your break, you can take advantage of our idyllic secluded private fishing pond stocked with carp and a variety of silver fish. The property is a stones throw from national trust properties including Hardwick Hall. If you fancy adventure a little further a field, Chatsworth House and country estate is a 30 minute drive by car. Or why not try a spot of antiquing at the historic market town of Chesterfield with its famous crooked spire. A large flea market is held every thursday for bargain hunters. Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood is a short drive by car and for table top gamers, the home of Warhammer World is located in the city of Nottingham with its fabulous museum of minature armies. Treat your loved ones to a meal out at one of the local pubs; The Hardwick Inn and White Hart are both within easy reach and offer delicious menus and good ales. Nearby, discover Heights of Abraham, cable car and experience breathtaking views from a new perspective. Let your adventurous side run free with a trip to the Peak District National Park, where you can explore a wide range of varying terrains before stopping for some tea and cake or a hearty dinner in one of the country pubs and heading back to your home away from home.
Our facilties cater for equestrians with full size menage and stables should you wish to bring your horse for a holiday too. Superb hacking with escorted rides are available or explore at your own pace along miles of off road trails.
